About Me

Jillian Fahy

Hello there! My name is Jillian and I am 23 years old. I am a senior at Lafayette College in Easton, PA and I am studying Environmental Science. I am very passionate about the natural environment and conservation because I believe that humans should be doing all that they can to preserve nature for future generations. My love for animals and passion for conservation inspired this project because I wanted to visually and digitally represent our impact on endangered species across the globe. I decided to pursue this topic for my digital humanities summer scholar project after taking a conservation biology class this past fall that I really enjoyed. I was able to go out into the field for labwork and got to experience many wonderful things such as bug collecting, bird watching, plant identification and data collection for different organizations and my personal favorite, bird banding. In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer, hiking, baking and caring for my horse Scarlett. For my future endeavors I hope to someday work on marine conservation down in Florida or conduct research in the Florida Everglades. I have always loved the oceans and marine life and would love to turn my passion into a career someday.
