I'm Not Lion! Big Cats are Endangered
The Panthera Leo Lion is found in Africa. They prefer to live in Forests, Grassland, Shrublands, and Desert. You will most likely find them lying under shady trees. It’s only when the lioness wants to give birth and protect her cubs she finds shelter in a den or lair. Adult males typically weigh 189 kg and the females weigh typically 126 kg on average. These lions can live up to 10-14 years in the wild unless harmed. At this time, they are at great risk of losing their homes which will cause them to become endangered.
As humans, we have contributed to the vulnerability of these lions by building residential and commercial development on their homes. We intrude and disturb their natural habitat by cutting down the vegetation and using it for personal purposes. Pollution is also one of the most important problems we face because it endangers more than just these lions. Biological resource use is a threat too, we trap animals to test them, make products out of them, breed them, etc. Although we are big contributors to the endangerment to this species, we aren’t the only ones. Other invasive species can ruin this animal and all animals habitats. This terrible problem can be fixed with your help! The first and easiest thing you can do is spread awareness through social medias, flyers, just telling you friends about it can do so much. We can set up site/area protection like how we make national parks, conservation, etc. We can protect our lions home and keep them safe from us building there. Some more conservation action we need to take are: site/area protection, resource and habitat protection, species recovery, training and compliance and enforcement. Please help these wonderful lions and make a difference. You can be apart of the change!
