Lovely Family Creatures on the Brink of Being Extinct... Mountain Gorillas!!!
Mountain Gorillas are about to be extinct and here are some reasons why they are on the brink to be gone forever. Habitat loss is one of the main reasons why these beautiful creatures are going extinct. Tons of people live very closely to these animals which means they have to cut down trees and grass to make more homes and build more factories. With this being said, most of these gorillas are being left homeless and this affects the reproduction process and even themselves too.
These charming mountain gorillas live in three countries spanning four in national parks called, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Volcanoes National Park, and Virunga National Park. The ecosystem these mountain gorillas live in is a terrestrial ecosystem. Mountain Gorillas usually eat roots, vines, bark, leaves, berries, fruit and bamboo shoots. Their life span in the wild is about 35 years, and in captivity, approximately 53 years. Currently today, mountain gorillas are increasing, and today these animals have about 600 left.
Some of the usual threats these mountain gorillas face are pollution, climate change, human instructions, energy production & mining, residential & commercial development, invasive and other problematic species, genes & diseases, and transportation/service corridors and so many more threats!
Well now your asking…what actions should we take to protect these animals?, and I have a simple solution… STOP KILLING THEIR HOMES! By this way could save these mountain gorillas and so many more animals living there! You should also reuse, reduce, and recycle the trees that were already cut down to make stuff and to make more new things! All in all, these fantastic mountain gorillas deserve to be let in the wild and live freely in their homes!
Hopefully we can save these unique species of animals! Thank you for reading!
